Fort Augustus

The team were paged at 1645 today to a report of a male possibly fallen overboard from a vessel in the canal system at Fort Augustus.  The team proceeded with the water rescue equipment from Inverness to meet up with the Fort Augustus rescue team.  A search of the canal system was carried out and assistance was given by the Loch Ness Lifeboat.  The male was later traced safe and well by police.

For water related emergencies on the Caledonian Canal system or connecting Lochs contact the COASTGUARD on 999 or call COASTGUARD on VHF Ch.16
