At 1303 today the team were tasked along with Cromarty and Fortrose CRT’s to a report of a dog and owner stuck on the cliffs by Learnie, Rosemarkie. Teams took their cliff rescue equipment but upon arrival the owner and dog managed to make their own way down to the shoreline and met by local police. Both were believed to be well.

November 16, 2007Police asked for assistance at the Kessock Bridge at 0255 this morning after a report of someone jumping off and landing in the maintenance safety netting. The team was stood down at the station after police managed to pull the casualty to safety.

November 13, 2007The team were called to the Islands on the River Ness today at 1620 after Police received a report of a person in the water. After further police enquiries it was determind there was no one in the water and the team was stood down shortly after arriving onscene

November 11, 2007The team was paged at 18:22hrs to a report of a sighting of red parachute flare somewhere between Clachnaharry sea loch and the Kessock Road Bridge. The team deployed a vehicle to both the North and South sides of the Firth to carry out visual searches whilst the RNLI Kessock lifeboat was launched to carry out a water search. 4 illuminating parachute flares were used during the search. No vessel or persons were found and the search units were stood down after an hour of searching.

November 2, 2007The rescue boat trained members of the team were called out a reports of a person in water near to Cherry Island on Loch Ness at 1330hrs. Stood down when another vessel recovered the person and took them to Fort Augustus.

Inverness Coastguard Rescue Team were called out today at 1300 after a report was received of 3 young children trapped by the incoming tide in the Moray Firth at South Kessock Point in Inverness. The Kessock In-shore Lifeboat was requested to launch and the 3 children were rescued and taken ashore.

October 11, 2007Inverness Coastguard Rescue Team were called out at 0830 this morning to assist the Northern Constabulary with a search of the River Ness and Inverness Harbour after a report of someone possibly having entered the water. Kessock Inshore Lifeboat carried out a search of the Harbour area and the Coastguard Rescue Team carried out a search of the River Ness with assistance from a Caley Marina Demonstration Rescue Boat which was in the river carrying out training. The team was stood down after nothing was found.

October 2, 2007Today at 1234 Inverness & Cromarty Coastguard Rescue Teams were tasked along with Invergordon Lifeboat and RAF R137 helicopter after a report was received of a person in the water near the Cromarty Bridge. Inverness Coastguard kept a visual of the casualty who was some distance from the shore and guided the Rescue Helicopter to the casualty. The casualty was then taken by helicopter to Raigmore Hospital in Inverness.

September 23, 2007The team was paged today at 1407 to reports of a yacht broken down off the Clachnaharry sea lock. The RNLI Kessock lifeboat escorted the yacht to the sea lock where the team took details.
